Taking pictures of this kid is just plain fun. He has such a funny, quirky personality. So stubborn, but still surprisingly easy to get along with. His preferred nickname is Eddy-bear, so when we found this bow tie with dressed up bears on it it was a necessary accessory--one that he actually voluntarily wears. I was thrilled as I've always been a sucker for a cutie in a bow tie. The fedora is our little tribute to a bygone era that I've always loved. This three-year-old rocks the look, don't ya think?
I've found that I get lovely natural afternoon light in our dining room, and when I push the dining table up against the wall I get a nice neutral backdrop, easy peasy. Funny, though, because several of my favorite snap shots came right after Eddy-bear jumped (seriously, leapt with little thought of his own safety) off the table. So I have the table in the background, but the expressions of him trying to wink and then looking so sweetly directly at me are too good to get dumped on the cutting room floor.
