In the past few weeks I've had two more mini-moments to capture some of my oldest son's personality and big-kidness. He is becoming such a fun person to be around. Helpful, opinionated, articulate, and sweet--all in turns and all simultaneously. He is slightly high strung, trying so hard to be right and perfect every second. When he lets loose with a laugh he laughs with his whole body and soul. It's contagious.
He is also a budding photographer himself. I'm not kidding, this boy has got an eye. He often begs to help me with any sort of set up or photo-shoot I'm playing around with. He always wants a turn taking pictures. When given the chance to hold the camera he grasps it with confidence and concentration. He captures images from his perspective that I find entrancing. Recently he snapped a picture of his little sister's glistening bright eyes while we were on a fast-moving train back to London. It was just the look I'd been trying to get for some time, in an effort to remember what she looks like when she turns those eyes on strangers we meet around town. I love to see what life looks like from his angle. I hope he continues to have an interest in showing me and the world what and how he sees.
