My best friend growing up always impressed me with her balance between down-to-earth practicality and big dreaming. She has an incredible singing voice, mad horse skills, and is generally a whole lot of fun. I feel so grateful to know her and her family. Most of my childhood memories involve her--from the days of pretending our bikes were horses and wildly "galloping" them around the neighborhood to our teen-age years of actually racing our real flesh-and-blood horses down the trails of the Utah mountains. She is one of those people that makes it easy to pick up right where we left off, so that even if we haven't talked in months it seems like we just saw each other yesterday.
I was lucky enough to get to take her family pictures last Easter near Utah Lake.
